Ahmad Khalaf

Ahmad Khalaf is a joint venture property developer and land developer strategist and the founder of Latitude. His experience spans over several countries in the region. His strategic thinking and business development capabilities helped to secure mega projects for top real estate companies, leading land development companies and investors in the UAE.  

Ahmad was heading global development activities for Bloom Properties, the real estate development arm of National Holding, one of the top real estate development companies in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As the head of global business development, Khalaf landed $12 billion+ of international, strategic, large scale, mix-use real estate projects and development opportunities. Project sizes varied between 5 million square meters and 40 million square meters of strategically located sites. 

In addition to his role as head of global business development; Khalaf supported related pre-development activities including, market research, market analysis, feasibility studies, asset mix allocation, business modeling, joint venture partnership structuring as well as development phasing and planning.

Khalaf co-created several consortiums to support the development of secured projects. Partners included grade “A” international and local real estate consultants, contractors, architects, designers, engineers, project managers, and other real estate development service providers. 

Prior to National Holding/Bloom Properties, Ahmad, in his role as an independent consultant supported the set up of several Real Estate Development Companies in the UAE, including Manazel, Escan and Fanadek. His scope of work included market research execution and business strategy formulation.  

Ahmad is a REDI Foundation Certified Real Estate Developer and an MBA graduate from Cass Business School.   

Paul Cayford

Paul Cayford is accredited by the RIBA as Client Adviser. He works with organizations from the outset of commissioning building or reorganization projects. Paul have exceptional track record in this role, helped by huge experience, empathy to client’s aims, good listening skills, creative and lateral facilitation, with a determination to help drive a project to successful outcome.    As Client Design Adviser and Design Manager.

Paul Cayford was an integral part of the BBC’s major reorganization of the one billion plus GBP property strategy, from the outset. Paul Cayford was personally responsible for the successful construction of more than £500 million new buildings and environments. The process involved creating the master plan as well as selecting procuring & managing teams of consultants all the way to completion of the project. The completed buildings are rated to Breeam Excellent, and are highly successful contemporary technical & creative workplaces.

Paul was special advisor to London Borough of Ealing’s £350m Building Schools for the Future program. He is panelist and chair of the Home Office Design Review Panel since 2005. Paul Cayford was a key ‘Enabler’ for The Commission for Architecture & the Built Environment (CABE is the UK Government's adviser on design and construction).

Paul Cayford has studied and practiced feng shui for over twenty years, training with top feng shui masters. He is committed to the principles of the intrinsic balance of harmony and energy flow within the environment. Along with the physical comfort arising from good technical design of buildings, and the energetic comfort of harmonious environments, Paul is passionate about the selection of materials which are ethically sourced, low embodied carbon, non-toxic and natural –
to promote well-being.

Joanne Sawicki

Joanne Sawicki is an entrepreneur & digital media pioneer with over 25 years senior management and board experience in blue chip organisations including News Corp, PBL Media, BSkyB, and BBC.  Key themes to her career are the ability to “make things happen”, and a passion to promote businesses that are profitable whilst “doing good”. 

Joanne founded Channel Health, the first digital interactive multi-media television and lifestyle company, and floated it on the London Stock Exchange, selling the limited company three years later and reversing a biotech company into the PLC shell. 

Joanne now uses her vast experience of every part of the business growth cycle to guide as a board member, investor or adviser to high growth companies.  She helps founders and boards navigate quickly changing business terrains enabling managers to adapt their communications styles to an expanded stakeholder base. She is adept at identifying funding for expanding companies. She has extensive experience working throughout the Gulf region in Oman, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Oman, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Egypt. Her experience includes:  

  • Channel Health PLC:  founder & CEO. Finalist in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards, Channel Health PLC achieved a flotation valuation of £20 million. (1998-2003).
  • Chiswick House & Gardens Trust (Trustee 2005-2007), Joanne Chaired the Communications Committee which successfully turned around local opinion to successfully support the £12m Heritage Lottery bid for the redevelopment & conservation of this historic site. The trust, chaired by Rupert Hambro, was created as a venture between Hounslow Borough Council and English Heritage.
  • Jeddah Economic Forum – 2005- 2006. Organised Sky New’s coverage about the role of women in the Gulf. Joanne Media trained and mentored the first women in public office in Saudi.
